Female Contemporary VocalistWe believe we have found a superb mix of classical and more modern vocals in Maiken. She is a star pupil of Chip’s from Chichester University.
Norwegian Maiken came to the University of Chichester in September 2005 to take a Bachelor degree in music, Chip was her vocal tutor for Jazz & Contemporary vocals. A very versatile singer and musician, her areas of expertise are in classical and modern vocals and jazz piano.
From the age of 13 - 18 Maiken regularly performed in the theatre. She played lead roles in many of the shows, something that enabled her to develop amazing performance skills.
She started playing piano and singing at an early age. When she was 16, she formed the group 'Duo Latte'. The duo reached the finals of one of Norway's most famous art competitions "UKM" and performed in the legendary "Blå" jazz club in Oslo.
In 2006, Maiken received a prestigious cultural award for her musical accomplishments in her hometown Gjerdrum.
This exquisite vocalist regularly performs. She has a wide range of repertoire, check it out; this lady is a rising star!
